Steve has worked in education for nearly thirty years, starting his career in Trafford before moving to Manchester. During this time, like many primary practitioners, he has worn many different hats. These include being a Maths, Science, Assessment and PE Subject Lead, and teaching in all primary phases. Steve has also been lucky enough to set up international school projects in Sweden and Italy. For several years, Steve was the Chairperson of Manchester Central Heads and the Manchester PE Association. It was during his time as Headteacher at Wilbraham Primary School that the Governors made the inspired decision to join The Aspire Educational Trust. In September 2022 Steve became Assistant CEO to the Trust. The job is varied and highly rewarding and Steve says he feels extremely lucky to work alongside such passionate, hard-working colleagues, pupils and parents.
