Caroline is currently the Headteacher of Parkroyal Community School, which sits within The Aspire Educational Trust. She has worked, rightly or wrongly at Parkroyal for all of her teaching career and it is fast approaching 30 years! She trained at Charlotte Mason College, in the Lake District and predominantly her teaching practices were with Year 3 and KS1. After living in Poynton as a child, Caroline applied for posts all over the country, hoping to be interviewed for one near the coast! When she was awarded a post at Parkroyal she didn't expect to be so close to home and was placed into the role of a Year 5 teacher. She was incredibly worried as her experiences had not involved children older than 8 years old, however, she loved it! Caroline then went on to teach Year 6 for many years and thoroughly enjoyed that too. Her experience with Year 6 pupils led to an interest in transition from Primary to Secondary education. Caroline didn't plan to become a headteacher but the opportunity came along and she wanted to continue to invest in Parkroyal and its community further and felt this was a chance to do so. She thoroughly enjoys working in The Aspire Educational Trust; the opportunities and chance to work alongside many other colleagues is something she values enormously.
