Claire has worked in education since graduating from university in 2004. She started her career in Blackburn with Darwen and moved to become a teacher at Sandbach Primary Academy in 2007. Claire has held many roles within the school including class teacher, subject leader and Vice Principal before becoming the Principal in 2018. As well as being Principal, Claire is still a class teacher and also holds the role of SENCO. Most recently, Claire has taken on the role of Early Years Lead and is enjoying the challenge of developing her skills in this area also.

Claire is passionate about her school and is incredibly proud of what the children and the staff achieve every single day. Claire is driven by her view that all children should feel included, valued, happy and safe within school and that working with the wider school community is essential. Many people who visit Sandbach Primary Academy comment on the warmth and care that they feel when there and this is something that Claire and her team are very proud of.
